Unhappy Please help; in need of advice.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if you could help me out. See, I'm not exactally the kind of girl who plays video games, but my cousin got me hooked on GW. I haven't played in a while due to my crappy computer, but I miss it I used to love to play, but my older sister made fun of me, calling me a boy and stuff...
So, I guess what I'm asking is should i just ignore people calling me wierd and stuff, or should I give up on my beloved GW?
P.S. Sorry for making this sound so dramatic

First of all women who play videogames get all the boys because well, they make up 80% of the audience .
Secondly ignore you sister, she's just jealous because she can't play and is afraid of peer pressure.
Lastly people who keep you from doing things you love are not friends or have good intensions for you.
Hope we can meet in GW xD.

Keep playing. If you enjoy it that is all that matters.

Better to be addicted to a computer game than to smoke weed/drink alcohol all day.

Your sister's an idiot. To be blunt

About 70-80% of my alliance is female and I'm sure we're not the only one.

Girls play video games, I'm sorry that your sister cannot see this, but if you enjoy it, then carry on! One day your sister will see what she's missing.

Anything at least 4 years old will run it. My Laptop with 512 ram and integrated graphics (so it doesn't even have T&L from GeForce 1/2) and it worked. Not too smoothly, but ram is cheap now.

I get told I must be female due to the fact I apparently type so well in grammar and punctuation. Some people on the internet are behind hope for regaining brain cells.

Nonetheless, if you enjoy the game, play it. Otherwise, let idiots be idiots.

There are a high number of female gamers aready and ma majority of them play online games. There is nothing wrong with a girl playing an online game.

Anyone, even another girl who says it is wrong or strange are being sexist by forcing stereotypes to gender.

There are many girls in my alliance, my only officer is female, my girlfriend plays gw, one alliance member consists of a family of mother, father and 2 daughters who play, we have a 64 year old who plays gw to keep in touch with his grandson who lives in a different city.

Anyone can play and shouldn't feel pressured into conforming to gender/age stereotypes. If you enjoy it then do it.

mm People should be able do what they want to do, its your choice what you do.

You can Forgot Gw, Get a Life. Or just use your freetime hanging with your non irl Friends from gw. Many Girls play video games so i dont understand why she says ya a boy. well yeah like i said. its your choice.

In my 32 months playing GW, I've belonged to 4 guilds on my 2 accounts. 3 of those guilds were led by females. I know probably 85% of GW players are adolescent males, but the females that I've met that stuck with the game usually turn out to be good players and are quite fun to play with.

The OP is obviously a teenager - and in my experience teenage girls usually don't have enough time to be more than a casual GW player. I imagine it's after they have their school, work, and social life settled down when they can find the time to be more than a casual gamer. Of course this is not a definite - I'm sure there are some exceptions to the rule. After all, we know for sure that women are definitely better at multi tasking than men.

Tell your sister she's just re-inforcing hideous gender stereotypes. Besides, guys love a girl that they can have good chats with; if you're a gamer there a lot of male gamers out there looking for a nice female who is preferrably interested in their hobby. You'll be having guys at your feet if you just flaunt your knowledge of RAM and FPS. Don't forget to roll out the D20's every now and then

If you really like playing GW then go for it. Never let someone stop you from doing what you really love to do.

P.S. Nice D&D joke Tatile

I say ignore everyone who tells you that a certain activity is restricted to a particular gender - cooking isn't just for girls and gaming isn't just for men. If you like gaming, go ahead.

Stereotypes FTL.

Oh and yeah, laptops can run GW. Mine runs it, average FPS is below 20, I load some populated areas uber slowly (Doomlore Shrine and Kamadan are perfect examples)... but I still can run GW and I use it when I have no access to a (good) desktop.
